IMPORTANT OPERATING REQUIREMENTS

⚠️ You MUST use a Festool compatible vacuum with the Domino DF500 Operating without a vacuum will cause internal damage. Festool MIDI vac available for hire for $40/day.

⚠️ Adjust the mortise width toggle ONLY while the tool is running Changing it while stopped will harm the geared mechanism and seriously damage the tool.

Overview

When you hire the Festool Domino DF500, you agree to:

• Look after the tool and return it in the same condition you received it
• Be responsible for any damage, loss, or theft while it's in your possession
• Use it safely and correctly, following all manufacturer guidelines and safety advice

My responsibilities

I'll supply the tool clean, safe, and in good working order. I'll be available for support if you have questions about using it.

Your responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off the tool at the agreed times
• If you need it for longer, let me know as early as possible
• Look after it properly by keeping it clean, dry, and safe from theft or damage
• Use it safely and for its intended purpose
• Report any issues as soon as possible if it's damaged, lost, or stolen
• Do not modify or repair it. If something goes wrong, I'll handle it

Damage, loss & theft

• If the cutter breaks, you'll be charged for a replacement cutter
• If the tool is damaged, you're responsible for the cost of repair
• If it's lost or stolen, you're responsible for replacing it at full replacement value

Hire extensions

• If you need to keep the tool longer than planned, let me know well before your original return time
• If I can't extend, you'll need to return it at the original agreed time

Payments & Security Deposit

• Hire fee of $_______ must be paid in full before collection of the tool
• A refundable security deposit of $500 is held on your card via Stripe
• The deposit will be released within 3-5 business days of satisfactory return
• If the tool is damaged, lost, or not returned, the deposit will be captured
• Additional charges beyond the deposit may apply for full replacement cost ($2,000)
• Late returns without agreed extension: Additional daily rate charged to card on file
• Cleaning fee will be charged if the tool comes back covered in hard-to-remove substances
• Replacement fees will be charged for broken cutters and missing accessories

Card Authorization

By signing this agreement, you authorize Public Basic Pty Ltd to:

• Charge the hire fee immediately
• Hold a $500 refundable deposit on your card
• Charge additional fees for damages, loss, or late returns as outlined above
• Charge up to the full replacement value ($2,000) if the tool is lost or stolen

Legal responsibilities

This agreement is governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.

If you breach any significant part of this agreement, I reserve the right to:

• Terminate the hire agreement immediately
• Reclaim the tool by collecting it from the premises
• Recover costs for damages, late fees, and other applicable charges

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for:

• Losses, damages, or injuries caused by misuse or negligence
• Delays, inconvenience, or consequential loss caused by tool unavailability

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify me against all claims, costs, and expenses that arise due to:

• Damage or injury caused to third parties while using the tool
• Loss or damage to the tool while in your care

Agreement
